The paper entitled "Two Experiences of Digital Storytelling in Education: Read It and Rights Projects" submitted by USGM for the EDEN "European Distance and E-learning Network" 2012 Annual Conference in Porto has been accepted and will be presented through a poster session during their International Annual Conference in June 2012. The European Distance and E-Learning Network exists to share knowledge and improve understanding amongst professionals in distance and e-learning and to promote policy and practice across the whole of Europe and beyond. READ-IT at TeachMeet in Scotland!There are no translations available. Chris Leslie from Scottish Book Trust did a presentation about READ-IT project for "TeachMeet - teachers sharing ideas with teachers", which is a regular conference of teachers taking place in various locations around Scotland. This took place on March 15th at Kirkland High School in Fife. It was mostly attended by teachers in their probationary (first) year of teaching. READ-IT project was presented during the ICVET "IT Culture in Vocational Education and Training" project meeting held in Rome on the 6th of March 2012. ICVET is a Leonardo da Vinci Partnership project and intends to create and improve the ICT competencies of the teachers/trainers in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) partners European schools, and a more efficient use of the ICT tools in the education of their students. On the 17th of January 2012, Annarita Briganti (Marsilio) and Francesca Vannucchi (USGM) held a seminar focused on the READ-IT project with teachers and students of the Liceo Scientifico di Stato "A. Calini" (high school) in the framework of the Booktrailer Film Festival. This competition is held annually by the "A. On the 5th of January 2012 READT-IT Turkish partner RATEK held the project National Workshop in Istanbul. The purpose of this First National Workshop was to present and promote the project to prospective READT-IT training beneficiaries. More than 100 teachers ( of Turkish Literature and English) attended the meeting. 70 of them were the ones who had applied for the course. A presentation about the project including the details READ IT Course and modules was done. The Course platform was presented as well. Some samples of book trailers were displayed. The project and READ IT Course attracted much attention and most of the participants were eager to participate the course. 33 of them were selected and now 31 teachers are following the course. |
